There are a number of options for residency:

Common Relocations 

• EU and UK citizens can live and work in Gibraltar but must apply for residency after 6 months, there is the option to reside in Spain and we can support your move to either Gibraltar or Spain, the requirements are slightly different and it is important to note if you reside in Spain and earn your income from Gibraltar you are liable for dual tax.

Category 2 Resident

• Individuals will pay tax on the first £105,000 of assessable income only with a minimum tax payable per annum of £32,000. Some benefits of this residency are tax exemptions from Capital Gains, Inheritance or Estate Duty, and Tax on Dividends.

Self-Sufficiency Residency

• This residency is beneficial to those who either have a passive or looking to retire to Gibraltar claiming a pensionable income. The self-sufficiency residency is for individuals who do not earn an income through Gibraltar.

HEPSS Residency (High Executive Possessing Specialist Skills)

• HEPSS is available to individuals who relocate to Gibraltar and participate in business activities. Senior Executives benefit from the special employment tax status.

Ordinary Residency

• For individuals looking to establish a working presence in Gibraltar and to pay tax on their earnings locally either as an employee or as an employer who sets up his own Company to pay taxes at local rates.
